RT Journal Article SR Electronic A1 Lavička, Roman T1 Church of Archangel Michael in Pacov. New Perspective on the Building Development and Appearance of the Parish Church before 1512 JF Průzkumy památek YR 2020 VO 27 IS 1 SP 17 OP 44 DO 10.56112/pp.2020.1.03 UL https://pruzkumypamatek.cz/en/artkey/prp-202001-0003.php AB Based on the analysis of archival sources, the structure, and its style, the study presents a new perspective on the building development and age of the individual parts of the Pacov church. It was proved that the perimeter wall of the two-nave church dates from 1370-1390 and is older than the present choir. The choir was built during the first quarter of the 15th century, as evidenced by the incomplete date '14...', and the shell was equipped with reliefs of Saint Wenceslas, the coat of arms of the Malovec family, and the Arma Christi symbols. The present vault comes from the substantial reconstruction of the choir carried out during 1480-1490. The formal analysis facilitated to estimate the date of the lierne vaulting situated under the tower around 1490. The newly discovered date '15012' gave answer to the question of the age of the vaulting of the two irregular naves which was completed with the financial aid of Pavel Malovec († 1518) and the drapers' guild in 1512.
