PT - JOURNAL ARTICLE AU - Tlučhoř, Jan AU - Slavík, Jiří TI - Folk and Classicist Elements in Northeastern Bohemia - Křivice Village DP - 2022 Dec 15 TA - Průzkumy památek PG - 114--130 VI - 29 IP - 2 AID - 10.56112/pp.2022.2.06 IS - 12121487 AB - The folk and classicist façade decorations represent remarkable, yet rather scarcely documented, elements of vernacular structures of stone that are in danger in East Bohemia. Knowledge about them has not advanced much since the beginning of the second half of the 20th century. Therefore, aerial research of Křivice Village (district Rychnov nad Kněžnou) was elaborated in 2018 as part of the research task of the National Heritage Institute that is underway - DRKVO: Research of Intangible Monuments in the Czech Republic. Current Methodology Issues of Research and Documentation, Endangered Types of Monuments and Selected Examples, approved by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic in 2017. The choice of the locality was intentional, as it is a highly valuable site, from the urban and preservationist aspects, with a rather high number of cultural monuments and other prime-quality buildings with a potential of being included in the conservation area. Up to now, no building history research has been conducted to summarise historical findings about the locality and evaluate the buildings and housing development. As part of the examination, basic research of archival sources and literature was conducted as well as terrain research of the individual buildings in the village.
