AB  - Seventeenth-century authentic parts of clothing are scarce both in the Czech and European context. They include the set of a collar, known as a ruff, and two cuffs that have remained at Jindřichův Hradec Castle. The set is ranked among famous textile relics and been exhibited many times because of its attribution. The article seeks to present these artefacts in view of historical tailoring and lacemaking technology. It provides a detailed description of the construction and technology solution of the two types of laces.
