AB  - Masonry research, which was uncovered to a certain height above the ground level on the majority of outside facades of the former Monastery of Friars Minor and its church fragment, was designed to determine the scope of medieval masonry as well as later reconstructions in the compound during the 2nd quarter of the 19th century (court, prison, housing) and after 1946 (museum). Tens of secondarily deposited stone architectural elements were identified on the facades, among which rib vaults with wedge and pear-shaped profiles stood out as well as a cluster vault pier. The research discovered that medieval masonry has survived on a rather smaller scale than originally surmised.
