RT Journal Article SR Electronic A1 Kruntorád, Matěj T1 Results of Facade Research on the Former Monastery of Friars Minor in Znojmo JF Průzkumy památek YR 2019 VO 26 IS 1 SP 103 OP 110 DO 10.56112/pp.2019.1.07 UL https://pruzkumypamatek.cz/en/artkey/prp-201901-0007.php AB Masonry research, which was uncovered to a certain height above the ground level on the majority of outside facades of the former Monastery of Friars Minor and its church fragment, was designed to determine the scope of medieval masonry as well as later reconstructions in the compound during the 2nd quarter of the 19th century (court, prison, housing) and after 1946 (museum). Tens of secondarily deposited stone architectural elements were identified on the facades, among which rib vaults with wedge and pear-shaped profiles stood out as well as a cluster vault pier. The research discovered that medieval masonry has survived on a rather smaller scale than originally surmised.
