Artists began to use fibreglass after the mid-1960s and Velocity was created as early as 1958-1961. In a European context, it is an early example of using 'modern' synthetic material. The chemist Miroslav Schatz cooperated in the making of the statue which was laminated from dark blue-hued polyester resin with the addition of metal powder. The complex research included: visual research, endoscopic research, photogrammetry, 3D scanning, and material research. ER
