AB The article contributes to learning about the Renaissance look of Skvorec Castle, its use and role among the residences of the Smiricky domain. It follows the other residences of the Smiricky family - Hruba Skala and Kostelec nad Cernymi lesy castles. Only the entrance section and part of the western wing with the adjacent wall remain from the original four-winged structure. As a result, written historical records and depictions of the castle from the 19th century are important sources of knowledge in addition to architectural documents and reports from building and historical research and archaeological excavations. Because of the low level of the structure's authentic preservation, the learning about medieval building stages is an important element to understand the Renaissance reconstruction.
